Antique Junghans Bracket Clock Westminster Chimes Elegant & Large Wood Case Runs. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! Very unique and uncommon wood Junghans clock case here. The clock probably dates to the 1908 to 1915 period. Then check out the beautiful rounded top on the clock case. The case is all intact, no missing pieces. Some minor finish loss to the case, most noticeably on the left base of the case. The rear wood door is intact and securely attached to the case by the hinges. Wood legs no longer in place on the bottom of the case. A hairline crack run length wise to the bottom piece of the wood case. Beautiful mahogany case on this clock. Some crazing to the finish in places. The clock face is silver with black numbers. Some loss of finish around the wind holes. Center piece and piece around number ring is a silver color as well. The bezel door is securely attached to the case by the hinges. The metal slide latch to secure the back door is no longer in place. The beveled glass in the bezel is intact, no cracking or blistering. The brass movement looks good. This is the A12 model. The springs feel sound when keyed. We have only had this clock for a few days, so cannot speak to how well it is running. Does currently strike and chime when the hands are advanced manually. The clock will come with a wind key. The clock has a Westminster Chime’s unit. The clock chimes every 15 minutes, and then will chime and strikes on the hour. This is a five rod chime/strike unit. The Junghans Clock stands 13.5″ tall, by 11.25″ across, by 7.75 wide. The clock face is 5 across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocks before, I would suggest you steer clear. One really needs to have the patience, and skill to work with these great works of art. They are not our modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks. There is no representation that the clock is in original condition, or will continue to be in working order.
