The clock probably dates to the 1908 to 1915 period. Then check out the beautiful rounded top on the clock case. The case is all intact, no missing pieces. Some minor finish loss to the case, most noticeably on the left base of the case. The rear wood door is intact and securely attached to the case by the hinges. Wood legs no longer in place on the bottom of the case. A hairline crack run length wise to the bottom piece of the wood case. Beautiful mahogany case on this clock. Some crazing to the finish in places. The clock face is silver with black numbers. Some loss of finish around the wind holes. Center piece and piece around number ring is a silver color as well. The bezel door is securely attached to the case by the hinges. The metal slide latch to secure the back door is no longer in place. The beveled glass in the bezel is intact, no cracking or blistering. The brass movement looks good. This is the A12 model. The springs feel sound when keyed. We have only had this clock for a few days, so cannot speak to how well it is running. Does currently strike and chime when the hands are advanced manually. The clock will come with a wind key. The clock has a Westminster Chime’s unit. The clock chimes every 15 minutes, and then will chime and strikes on the hour. This is a five rod chime/strike unit. Has a nice dental molding look above and below the face of the clock. Some minor finish loss to the case, most noticeably on the left base of the case. The rear wood door is intact and securely attached to the case by the hinges. Some paint specks in places. The wood wafter legs are still in place. A hairline crack run length wise to the bottom piece of the wood case. Some wear and tear and loss of finish to the case, most notably along the edges and corners. Case has been wiped down, could still use a good cleaning. Beautiful mahogany case on this clock. Some crazing to the finish in places. The clock face is gold with black numbers. Has a great incised design of flowering and scrolls on the metal face that has a gold colored lacquer on it. Some loss of finish around the wind holes. The grommets around the wind holes are in place. The bezel front wood door is securely attached to the case by the hinges. Same with the back door. The metal slide hatch to secure the back door is still in place and operates. The beveled glass in the bezel is intact, no cracking or blistering. The brass movement looks good. This is the 140 model. “DRPa” and “Germany” are also incised on the back plate of the movement as is “1.15”. The three wind springs feel sound when keyed.
