Antique Junghans 3 Wind Mantel Clock Westminster Chimes Rounded Top Case. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! Very unique Junghans clock case here. The clock probably dates to the 1910 to 1915 period. Check out the beautiful rounded top on the clock case. The case is all intact, no missing pieces. Some minor finish loss to the case. The rear wood door is intact and securely attached to the case by the hinges. Some paint specks in places. The brass wafer legs are still in place. A hairline crack run length wise to the bottom piece of the wood case. Some wear and tear and loss of finish to the case, most notably along the edges and corners. The wood case has been wiped down, could still use a good cleaning. Nice mahogany case on this clock. Some crazing to the finish in places. The clock face is silver with black numbers. Then the rest of the plate the face is on is gold colored. Has a great incised design of flowering and scrolls on the metal face that has a gold colored lacquer on it. Some loss of finish around the wind holes. No grommets around the wind holes, don’t think there ever were any. The bezel front wood door is securely attached to the case by the hinges. Same with the back door. The glass in the bezel is intact, no cracking or blistering. The glass does need to be secured more with tacks, as loose in door now. The brass movement looks good. This is the B11 model. “140” is incised in the bottom right of the back plate of the movement. Two of the three wind springs feel sound when keyed. The left one that controls the??? Has a broken spring. The clock has not been running since we acquired it. Chimes hammers could use some adjustment to strike rod for a better sound. The clock has the pendulum bob (do not think original one), and will come with a wind key. The 5 rod gong unit is in place and securely attached to the case. The clock has a Westminster Chime’s unit. The clock chimes every 15 minutes, and then will chime and strikes on the hour. This is a five rod chime/strike unit. The Junghans Mantel Clock stands 16-5/8″ tall, by 12.25″ across, by 8-5/8 wide. Wood legs no longer in place on the bottom of the case. A hairline crack run length wise to the bottom piece of the wood case. Beautiful mahogany case on this clock. Some crazing to the finish in places. The clock face is silver with black numbers. Some loss of finish around the wind holes. Center piece and piece around number ring is a silver color as well. The bezel door is securely attached to the case by the hinges. The metal slide latch to secure the back door is no longer in place. The beveled glass in the bezel is intact, no cracking or blistering. The brass movement looks good. This is the A12 model. The springs feel sound when keyed. We have only had this clock for a few days, so cannot speak to how well it is running. Does currently strike and chime when the hands are advanced manually. The clock will come with a wind key. The clock has a Westminster Chime’s unit. The clock chimes every 15 minutes, and then will chime and strikes on the hour. This is a five rod chime/strike unit. Antique Junghans Marquetry Mantel Clock. Runs & Strikes Bim Bam Strike. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! Very unique Junghans clock case here. The clock probably dates to the 1910 to 1915 period. Check out the beautiful rounded top on the clock case. The case is all intact, no missing pieces. Some minor finish loss to the case, most noticeably on the left base of the case. The rear wood door is intact and securely attached to the case by the hinges. Some paint specks in places. The wood square wafer legs are still in place. Some wear and tear and loss of finish to the case, most notably along the edges and corners. Back top of case seems to have been glued in place, when not square with the top and sides. That misalignment carries into the left side of the top of the case. The seam at the top of the case is separated a little. Case has been wiped down, could still use a good cleaning. Beautiful mahogany case on this clock. Some crazing to the finish in places. The clock face is gold with black numbers. Has a great marquetry design of flowering and scrolls on the front case of the clock.. Some loss of finish around the wind holes. No grommets around the wind holes are in place, does not appear there were any. Face is loose in bezel, so can move off wind holes and needs to be adjusted at times. The brass bezel door is attached securely to the hinges by the back plate. The back plate of the bezel is a little loose from the case and could use some tightening attention. Nice dental detailing on the bezel. The wood back door is in place as well. The metal slide hatch to secure the back door is still in place and operates. The glass in the bezel is intact, no cracking or blistering. The brass movement looks good. This is the A09/160 model. The two wind springs feel sound when keyed. The clock has been running since we acquired it. We have not cleaned or made any repairs to the movement since acquiring. Just a little clock oil to some of the pinion points. The movement does currently strike and do the bim bam strike on the quarter hours one bim bam sequence at 15 after the hour, two bim bam sequence at 30, and three bim bam sequence at 45 after the hour, and then strikes the hours on the hour. The clock has the pendulum bob, and will come with a wind key. The clock has a Bim Bam chime/strike unit. This is a two rod chime/strike unit. The Junghans Mantel Clock stands 13-3/16″ tall, by 9-3/8″ across, by 5.75 wide. The clock face is 5-1/8 across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. Nice design below the clock face that carries thru lines that go around the perimeter of the face. Then check out the beautiful curved top on the clock. The case is all intact, no missing pieces. Some minor finish loss to the case, most noticeably on the left base of the case. The rear wood door is split in a couple of places and needs attention, so that it will snugly latch in place again. The 4 wood feet are also still in place on the clock case. Beautiful mahogany case on this clock. The clock face is silver with black numbers. Some loss of finish around the wind holes. The bezel is securely attached to the case by the hinge. The concave glass in the bezel is intact, no cracking or blistering. The movement looks good. The time spring is wound tight. The chime and strike springs both feel sound when keyed. The movement was quite dirty and will need a good cleaning and servicing. The clock comes with what appears to be the appropriate pendulum. The clock movement was tanked, cleaned, and serviced by Clock Doc and is in running and striking condition. The first two pics of the movement are after it was cleaned. The clock will come with a wind key. The clock has a Westminster Chime’s unit. The clock chimes every 15 minutes, and then chime and strikes on the hour. This is a five rod chime/strike unit. The bezel is securely attached to the case by the hinge. The concave glass in the bezel is intact, no cracking or blistering. The movement looks good. The time spring is wound tight. The chime and strike springs both feel sound when keyed. The movement was quite dirty and will need a good cleaning and servicing. The clock comes with what appears to be the appropriate pendulum. The clock movement was tanked, cleaned, and serviced by Clock Doc and is in running and striking condition. The first two pics of the movement are after it was cleaned. The clock will come with a wind key. The clock has a Westminster Chime’s unit. The clock chimes every 15 minutes, and then chime and strikes on the hour. This is a five rod chime/strike unit. The Junghans Clock stands 16″ tall, by 11.5″ across, by 7 wide. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
