The clock’s dimensions are approximately; H- 102″, W- 24″ & D- 17. The Case: The case is in FINE physical condition. The case has been beautifully refinished and is extremely clean and looks fantastic for a clock that is almost 100-130 years old. The Dial/Face: The dial is in fine physical condition and has a wonderful patina. There are areas of silver loss, please see pictures. The hour, minute and second hand are original and fit tightly to the arbors. The Mechanism : The 8 day weight driven 1/2 “bim-bam” hour chiming mechanism has been running flawlessly. It has a strong ticking sound and keeps very accurate time. The clock chimes on the 1/2 hour and the hourly strike are wonderful. The sound resonates for a nice long time. The Pendulum : The pendulum is NOT original to the clock but from the time period. The Weights: The 2 brass weights are original and have a wonderful patina and look fantastic. I can not see any dents, breaks, chips, etc.. The Tubes : The tubes are in excellent physical condition and have a great patina. The Glass: The glass is original and look great. Antique collectors and/or clock enthusiasts will love this original condition clock that is in great working order. This clock is extremely clean and looks much better in person than the photos. Walnut case with pretty enamel face. I beautiful thing that someone will adore to restore. It measures approximately 30 x 11 x 8 cm. Perhaps a salesman’s sample? Someone will be absolutely thrilled to tinker with this and restore it to a former glory! Be sure to carefully look at all the photos to ascertain that my description is accurate. Bellaire finish on select hardwoods and veneers. Swan neck pediment features book-matched Olive Ash Burl Overlays with a turned urn finial, carved rosettes, and a decorative carved final support. The polished brass finished dial features an open cast center which offers a view of the inner workings of the movement, decorative corner ornaments, a moon arch with an astrological blue moon phase with a pierced star pattern, and a silver chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals.
