Vincenti thru J E Caldwell Shelf Clock. 20 Tall France Nice Inlaid Wood Case. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself. We can therefore better control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don’t have the overhead that the higher end houses and galleries pass on to their clients. This clock was made by a well known and fine clock maker in France named Vincenti. This clock is in running and striking condition. The clock strikes once on the half hour and the number of hours on the hour. Very nice latter 1800s clock here. The case appears to be made of mahogany wood. Great inlaid double wood banding on the front of the case below the clock face. That banding color carries into the piece that is the bottom of the hood on top of the clock. Nice wood finial on the top of the case that is glued in place. A shrinkage crack to the front of the case just above the clock face. One of the sides of the skirt and the hood on the clock are starting to come unglued and will need attention at some time. Bottom skirt and the ball legs are made of wood as well. The back door is gold colored brass and has a red fabric in it. Nice looking silver colored tin face on this clock. Shows some swirling to the finish, not sure if that is original or something someone did later. The hands match and appear to be appropriate to the clock. The bezel is still firmly attached to the case and the glass is intact, no blistering or cracking. The movement’s brass back plate has the numbers “1349”, “8” and “4” at the bottom middle. The pendulum bob has 1349 and Theibel on it. The numbers matching up on the movement and the bob show both are original to each other making the clock even more collectible. The pendulum rod show some corrosion to it’s nickle finish. The movement also has “Made in France” below that. Just above that is the embossed seal for Medaille D’Argent Vincenti” and then “1855. Those years do not mean the clock was made in that year. It was the year that Vincenti won an award for their clock making which allowed them to put it on their movements. Clock is probably from the 1850s to 1890s. The pendulum for the clock looks appropriate. The clock will come with a winding key. There is no representation that the clock is in original condition, or will continue to be in working order. The clock is 19-5/8″ tall, by 9.75″ across, by 7 wide. The clock face is 5.5 across. Rare Large Ornate Rj Horner Grandfather / Tall Case Clock Circa 1890-1910

The clock’s dimensions are approximately; H- 102″, W- 24″ & D- 17. The Case: The case is in FINE physical condition. The case has been beautifully refinished and is extremely clean and looks fantastic for a clock that is almost 100-130 years old. The Dial/Face: The dial is in fine physical condition and has a wonderful patina. There are areas of silver loss, please see pictures. The hour, minute and second hand are original and fit tightly to the arbors. The Mechanism : The 8 day weight driven 1/2 “bim-bam” hour chiming mechanism has been running flawlessly. It has a strong ticking sound and keeps very accurate time. The clock chimes on the 1/2 hour and the hourly strike are wonderful. The sound resonates for a nice long time. The Pendulum : The pendulum is NOT original to the clock but from the time period. The Weights: The 2 brass weights are original and have a wonderful patina and look fantastic. I can not see any dents, breaks, chips, etc.. The Tubes : The tubes are in excellent physical condition and have a great patina. The Glass: The glass is original and look great. Antique collectors and/or clock enthusiasts will love this original condition clock that is in great working order. This clock is extremely clean and looks much better in person than the photos. Ingraham Banjo Clock 37.5 Tall Runs & Strikes Nyanza Model. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! Beautiful decorator piece to have in your home or office even if you do not run the clock. Good looking Antique Banjo Wall clock here. Made by the Ingraham Clock Company. The clock dates to around 1915. Beautiful mahogany wood case that still has a lot of its’ original elegance. There are two doors on the front of the clock case, the face and pendulum doors. Both securely attached to the case. The bezel door latch is in place and operates. The top finial and it’s base has come unglued from the clock case. Nice wood center rails with brass buttons affixed to them. The top of the case has a couple of splinter cracks in it from something done in the past. A metal rod that the brass colored pendulum bob hangs off of. Nice looking what appears to be the original pendulum bob. Nice intact front glass pieces on this case. All the glass that is in place is good, with with no blistering or cracks. The paint is coming off the center plate and the bottom plate due to age. The clock face is a reproduction paper one. The original tin one is no longer with the clock. The face is done in antique white with black numbering. Has Ingraham noted on the clock face. This clock would have been made in the United States in the early 1900s. He clock hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The strike and time parts of the movement are powered by spring winds. Has an 8 day brass movement. The springs feel sound when keyed. Has a rod strike. Strikes once on the half hour and the number of hours on the hour. The clock comes with a wind key. The clock stands 37.5″ tall (w/ finial in place), by 10.25″ across, by 5 wide.
