Blades are pierced, hand painted, dark gray (might be tarnished silver) with underlying gold gilding. You can enlarge the pics to see example on the 3rd blade from the right hand shoulder and the 2nd blade from the left. Gold Gilded wood case made in Italy is in very good condition, back is updated. Stamped Made in Italy on back of wood case. Wood case with gold gilding, enclosed with glass. Wood case is approximately 26 x 16 x 2 inches. Fan has patch, left center lower where it meets 7th blade from the left. The two right hand panels and first left hand panel show wear from being folded when it used many years ago.
