Antique entomology display case / box, glass lid. Brass catches, lid is a very tight fit. 32 x 22 x 5 cms approx measurements. My Dad was a zoologist and as a young man in the 30s and 40s had a small collection of butterflies and moths, and possibly other insects. He wasn’t an entomologist and never followed it up. This box does not appear to have been used. I do have another box with butterflies and moths in that I have up on the wall. Please ask any questions.
