Vintage Deep Rock Springs 5 Gallon Glass Water Bottle Denver Colorado. This glass bottle is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, or breaks. There are some scratches/scuffs from being handled. The inside is dirty/dusty and could use a good cleaning. It has a very nice embossed logo on bottom of the bottle. It is Deep Rock Springs Denver Colorado. It has a light green tint to it. 19 1/2″ from the bottom to the end of the spout, 10 1/2″ wide. The wooden case is good and sturdy.

Any fine French home of the 19th century would provide for inhabitants and also for guests, a decanter of fresh water or wine for the night, at bedside table. By later 1800s these “topper-up” style sets would also have an insert or a 2nd small decanter for libation or liqueur, but the earlier ones were just as you see this one: under tray, or platter, saucer, and the decanter and then the glass. The glass (timbale as they call them in France) was always up-turned and used to cover the decanter against dust, insects, evaporation (if alcohol). It’s not too rare to find a decanter and under plate, but rare to find the entire set, unbroken and still together like this one. We’d estimate this one to be c. 1830-50, but it could be earlier. Vtg Lot of 6 Mullins Spring Water Glass Bottles in Orig Wood Case Perth Amboy NJ. Condition is Used and in overall good to very good condition. This is a fabulous wooden crate with a full case of empty half gallon glass bottles. The bottles are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. They have a unique shape that looks similar to milk bottles. Very nice bright red lettering. The wooden crate does show signs or its age protecting the bottles and that is why they are in such nice condition. The crate reads the same as the bottles. The bottles read – Mullins Spring Water Co. 665 New Brunswick Ave. On the back of the bottle is reads “Bottled as it flows from the spring”. There were many springs in the area that people frequented for health. This would make a most lovely addition to your bottle collection. Very nice for display. Each each bottle is 10 5/8 in tall by 4 1/2 in. Crate is 11 in. Tall by 17 in across by 11 in wide.
