This is an unusual listing for us as we normally offer vintage radios and related items. This item was donated by the estate of a former member of our museum. Specially designed to hold up to 12 HO or On-30 scale train cars, it is handcrafted of rich mahogany-stained solid hardwood and is built to last for generations of train lovers. This heirloom-quality vintage-style train storage box features a real glass top that showcases your favorite train cars on the top shelf; adjustable shelf inserts accommodate a wide range of train car sizes. Two sliding drawers hold more train cars or extra track. The soft, brushed fabric interior protects your train collection, while the antiqued metal hardware is as practical as it is stylish. The museum is chartered by the New York State Education Department and is designated a 501c(3) not for profit organization by the IRS. Unless specifically stated in the item listing, items are offered in “AS-IS” condition, as donated to us. The Museum has a small staff composed entirely of volunteers and we are not able to individually test each item. However any defects that can be discovered by a visual examination will be noted and described in the listing. Some of our items are new old stock. That being said they are old stock. If you are looking for recently manufactured condition, a museum store might not be the place to be shopping. Please ask questions well in advance of the items end time. Depending on the nature of the question, it may be forwarded to a Museum staff member with particular expertise with the item being offered. It may take up to 48 hours (or more) to respond to questions, but every effort will be made to answer as quickly as possible. Work days at the Museum are Tuesday of each week. The following condition also applies to those items. No assistance will be provided. We make every effort to be accurate in our descriptions and photos to fairly depict the condition of the items. Vintage electronics are not returnable due to the age and nature of the item. We package items well, with adequate space for cushioning, using bubble wrap, Styrofoam peanuts or other materials on all sides. Electronics are packaged with space for peanuts or cushioning material on all sides. Some countries require additional information on communications equipment, Brazil being one of those.
