Vintage Standard Electric Time Co Wall Clock Oak Case Slave Clock
Vintage Standard Electric Time Co Wall Clock Oak Case Slave Clock. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself! Manufactured by the Standard Electric Time Company of Springfield, MA. This clock dates to the 1925 to 1930 period. Very unique clock here for the collection of one of you out there. The oak wood case is still in nice condition. The case shows some minor finish loss and paint speckling on the top. We see no cracks, splits or repairs to the wood pieces of this case. The 2 hinges still hold the front door onto the case securely. Brass connectors and screws to go to power source still on the top of the clock case. Has the company name and location in the middle of the clock face. The hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The face is made of tin and has an antique white paint on it. The paint does not show any blistering and flaking. The latch for the front door works and has a brass latch. Has a nice brass movement inside the case. Wiring to movement is in place. We do not have the ability to hook the clock up to a power source. The Standard Electric Wall Clock stands about 15-13/16″ tall, by 15.75″ across, by 4 wide. The clock face is 11 across. Cannot say if all of the clock movement and other components are there or not. What you see is what you get. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. The pictures provided both complement and supplement the listing description, so please look at them very closely as well. With old items, there is no way one can capture all the little imperfections in words, so the two media are meant to be the full description. If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocks before, I would suggest you steer clear. One really needs to have the patience, and skill to work with these great works of art. They are not our modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks. Make sure that this clock meets your needs and requirements before deciding to acquire it. So again, ask all questions you have, come see in person or send a friend to see the clock on your behalf, prior to deciding to acquire it. Don’t be shy, we are always open to reasonable offers! We do not expect this special clock will last long. Please check out our other Timeless Tokens store listings as we are regularly adding new items.
