This is decent looking Waterbury Newburgh clock from a desirable maker which according to the label was crafted from Waterbury 10 Cortland St NY instead Waterbury CT and seems to be very original except for replacement dial that was necesary. It is a double mainspring drive mantel clock that has a great look and running perfect after a lot of adjustment. I lubed the movement and those adjustments and it is after calling it a name or two (it was stubborn) running away on my mantel as I type this. It measures about 22″ tall x 13″ wide x about 4 deep. I believe this is rite around 1870’s and the case is nicely done with storks on the glass and nice but not overly fancy detail on the case. Everything else looks to be very much original and the brass bezel and pendulum has a great tone going as well, not a bad clock. The support behind the upper face if missing but it is plenty sturdy and barely noticable, but I try to be an honest guy and it is missing. I will very soon edit anything I learn and will edit anything I learn Overall a great look and very nice clock for I think a reasonable price. I used to sell a ton on Ruby Lane and other online and have many wonderful clocks in my collection that I will be offering as my retirement gets closer and the last thing I wish to do is burn bridges with customers.
