Vintage Southern Clock Mantel Clock Wood Case Decorative Glass Runs Made in Korea. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself! This vintage mantel clock has a beautiful wood case. Some minor finish loss and chipping to the wood case. The clock was made in the early 1980s period (inspection date on back of clock on paper label). The wood trim columns, the metal lion heads on them are in place. Same with the metal trim piece of a woman’s head the the wood finial topper. Great gold and clear colored stenciling tape on the inside of the glass to give it a reverse painted look. The clock’s front door is still securely attached to the case by the hinges. The latch on the door is there and works. The clock has a nice looking gold colored pendulum bob on a wood rod. There are operating instructions on a paper label on the back of the clock case. The clock has a metal face that has red painted trim and black numbering on it. Notes Made in Korea at the bottom of the clock face and stenciled on the wood back of the clock case. The company that made the clock was called the Southern Clock Company. Says the same on the metal plate of the clock movement. The hands match and look appropriate to the clock. This is a 31 day movement. The clock, time and strike springs all feel sound when keyed. The clock will come with a winding key. The clock stands 22-1/8″ tall, by 13.5″ across, by 5.25 wide. The clock face is 5.75 across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
