Exotic Wood and Glass Case – Peruvian Walnut. With Red Oak Inlays and Coved Base the Top. Note: The case is shown with a clear glass back for the picture taking process as the mirror reflects the flash and distortes the image. This display case is handcrafted using solid 3/4 inch Peruvian Walnut inlayed with Red Oak. The case has a mirrored back, two adjustable shelves, glass top and sides, and solid glass front to allow for easy access to your collectables. The case design allows the contents to breathe while keeping them dust free. These cases can be quickly and effortlessly converted into several different configurations depending on your changing collectable needs — adding additional shelves, removing a shelf, you can even use it as a Doll Case by removing all the shelves and brass pins! Each case is specially designed and handcrafted by Mike of Chameleon Woodcrafting. Mike meticulously finishes the wood by hand — first the case is sealed with an oil / varnish mixture, then sprayed with three coats of lacquer to bring out the unique characteristics of each piece of wood. The wood is then hand rubbed with a fine English wax to protect the finish. The bottom is covered with a high quality felt and the shelf pins are solid brass. There are felt feet on the bottom. At Chameleon Woodcrafting, we us old world joinery and meticulous finishing techniques in each of our pieces. Usually Mike’s work is by custom order. The outside dimensions of this case are 24″ tall by 15.50 wide and 9″ deep. The inside dimensions of this case are 23.25″ tall by 14″ wide and 7.5 deep.
